Wireless charging greatly facilitate the usage of mobile phone. Samsung lunched the first mobile phone with wireless charging in 2015. Everyone excepted iPhone could have the same function at that time. Finally two years later, on iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X, wireless charging has come true.

Wireless charging for iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X

With an all-new design, iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X have a glass back that works with Qi-certified chargers. There are many Qi-certified chargers available in the market. Among these wireless chargers, one wireless charging base from Mophie and one charging pad from Belkin are the best options for you. Because they represent the best implementation of the Qi standard. You can buy them on Apple online store and Apple retail stores.

Sidenote:

Wireless charging uses magnetic induction to charge your iPhone. Don't place anything between your iPhone and the wireless charger. Magnetic mounts, magnetic cases, or other objects between your iPhone and the charger might reduce performance or damage magnetic strips or RFID chips like those found in some credit cards, security badges, passports, and key fobs. If your case holds any of these sensitive items, remove them before charging or make sure that they aren’t between the back of your iPhone and the charger.

Wireless Charging for older iPhone

Apart from iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X can be wireless charging, there are some products can wirelessly charge older iPhone.

The receiver features an incredibly thin cable with a lightning connector at the end, which bends around the bottom of your phone and sits permanently in the Lightning jack. The receiver works specifically with the Qi wireless charging format.

The benefit of the iQi Mobile receiver is that you can keep your existing case and add wireless charging to your iPhone (although a soft case is recommended). It costs US$14.99 and you can buy it from Amazon.
