This Document will show you how to create a Windows password reset disk on Mac and take it to reset Windows forgotten password and unlock computer with Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner for Mac.

Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner for Mac works on Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP, Windows Server 2018 (R2)/2016(R2)/2012(R2)/2008(R2)/ 2003(R2)/2000(R2). Windows Password Tuner for Mac has three versions: Standard, Ultimate, Raid. Here only take Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner for Mac Ultimate and Windows Server 2008(R2) as example, the steps to reset password on other versions of Windows with the Standard and Raid versions of program are the same.

Preparations:

• A writable USB flash disk
• An accessible Mac with internet connected

Step 1Create a password reset disk on Mac

1. Go to a Mac with internet connected, download Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner for Mac.

2. Install this application on your Mac.

   Double-click on the cocosenor-windows-password-tuner-for-mac-ultimate.dmg file, and drag this application to the Applications folder.

   
   

   

   
   

   If you get an error message that says "the program can't opened because it wasn't download from Mac App Store," right-click on the cocosenor-windows-password-tuner-for-mac-ultimate.dmg file, select "Open with", and then click on "DiskImageMounter" to open this program.

3. After the Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner for Mac is launched, insert a Writable USB flash disk.

4. If the USB drive name is not showed on the box, click on the drop-down list, select your USB disk, and then click on "Begin burning".

   
   

   

5. If get the prompt message, click on Yes to agree it to format this USB drive.

   

6. Tips: The USB disk will be formatted, if have any important data on it, please remove it out of this USB and store it on another safe place.
7. Wait for the progress bar to complete, you will get the message "Burning successfully!" that means the Windows password reset disk is created successfully.

   

Step 2Boot computer from USB password reset disk

If your locked computer haven't set to boot from the USB drive before, you may need to set it to boot from the USB disk drive manually.

1. Unplug the USB password reset disk from Mac and insert it into the locked computer that you need to reset Windows password.
2. Power on computer, when the first screen appears, press Boot menu key repeatedly to bring up the Boot menu.
3. When the Boot menu comes up, select your USB drive, press Enter to boot computer from it.

Step 3Reset Windows password to unlock computer

1. If goes right, it will boot to the Cocosenor Windows Password Tuner Ultimate screen. Select your Windows, click on your user name.
2. Click on "Reset password" and click on Yes to accept it.

   

3. If you want to add an administrator account on Windows, click on "Add user" button.

   

4. Click on "Reboot", eject the USB drive, click on Yes to restart computer.

   Tips: Remember to eject the USB drive, or it will boot to the password reset program screen again.

   

5. When goes to the logon screen, click on your user account and sign in with the new password just reset.
